The UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2025 registration deadline has been extended by the Union Public Service Commission. Candidates can find the direct link to apply for CS(P)-2025 and IFoS(P)-2025 on UPSC's official website.

        


The last date to apply has been extended to February 18. The correction window will reamin open from February 19 to February 25 2025.

The application deadline for the 2025 Civil Services (Preliminary) test was previously 11 February 2025, but it has since been extended.

The reasons for extending the application deadline were not stated in the UPSC notice. However, according to official sources, some candidates had expressed dissatisfaction regarding specific issues encountered when submitting their applications via the portal.

Candidates must create a One-Time Registration (OTR) profile before applying. Those who have previously created an OTR profile can fill out the application form directly, and the profile remains active.  


How to apply for the UPSC Civil Services prelims exam 2025

1. Go to UPSC's official website at UPSC WEBSITE
2. On the home page, click the link for Civil Services Prelims.
3. On the new page that opens, candidates must create an OTR profile.
4. After that, complete the application form and log in to the profile.
5. Click submit after paying the application fee.
6. Download and save a physical copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

The application fee is Rs. 100. However, the fee is waived for candidates who are female, SC, ST, or have a benchmark disability. The application fee must be paid online.

The civil services preliminary test will take place on May 25. It is expected that the examination will fill approximately 979 positions.
